Music Career Biography/ Overview
Guitarist/songwriter/producer Lori (Halley) Johnson has
been recording since her early teens, performing in folk
bands in the early years during her life.  In early 1970's she
'almost' was accepted by MCA as a songwriter.

Being that she wanted to be the singer of her songs
recorded, she passed up the songwriting opportunities for
great artists such as The Carpenters and even wrote music
to Rod McKuen's poetry.  However, Lori had a minor stroke
in 1990 and it set her songwriting and performing aside
while recovering.  Karaoke was the only method that helped
in the recovery process, recommended by her Nurse friend,
Gayle Harris.

After 75 original songs later, and collaborating with others,
in 1994, Lori had her first TV appearance, featured on a
news clip for her original songs
No Courts For Courtney and
Sing Me A Lullaby.  In 1994 she held a fundraiser and
recorded 3 songs from John Denver's song collection (by
permission) to bring awareness to an unjust Family Law
Court situation of her best friend Cathy Thomas.
During that same year, she also wrote lyrics to a musical
tune by Adrian Scott (Originally written for his Japanese
friend, Seiichi Ito and his beautiful first daughter, Leya.  The
musical piece was called
Song For Leya).

HOLIDAY THANKS! song was born.  Lori searched the
Copyright office for information regarding the same.  Three
long years later, she discovered through Roland Music that
Adrian lived in Australia.  Since the Copyright office only
searched the United States, it took three LONG years
before Lori located Adrian (who was one of the original
founders of Air Supply).  Soon after he was located, they
partnered together to create HOLIDAY THANKS! from
across the world.  (CD and CD-Graphics)

Also,
CaliforniaKids Healthcare Foundation was a charity
that received benefits from Lori's musical performances for
charity.

Today, Lori and her husband, Art, enjoy residing in Redondo
Beach, California where Art is an Award Winning Glass
Artist as well as winning Singing Contests.  Together, this
talented duo enjoy performing duets, harmonizing during
special events and during their quality
Karaoke Shows.
